The development of powerful deep learning technologies has brought about some negative effects to both society and individuals. One such issue is the emergence of fake media.
To tackle the issue, AI Singapore is organizing the Trusted Media Challenge (“Challenge”) with the support of Biendata as the platform provider for the Challenge. The objective of this challenge is to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies could be leveraged to combat fake media. This challenge will focus on the detection of audiovisual fake media, where both video and audio modalities may be modified.
The challenge is open to local and international participants from academia and the industry. It will provide a platform for researchers and engineers in the community to contribute their ideas and provide some insights on advances in fake media detection to both academia and industry. Winners of the Trusted Media Challenge will stand a chance to win prize monies of up to SGD 700,000 (approximately USD 500,000) which is a combination of cash prize and start-up grant.
Given a set of original and fake videos, the participants have to build models to return a probability that any given video is a fake one.
The challenge is divided into 2 phases.
Duration: 4 months
Start Date: 15 July 2021 00:00 (Anywhere on earth time)
Entry Deadline: 15 Nov 2021 23:59 (Anywhere on earth time)
Team submission limit: Once a week till 17 Oct and twice a week from 18 Oct onwards
The submission will be ran on a hidden test set with a running time limitation to 2.5h (i.e. the average processing and detection time for each video is around 9s) and an image size limitation to 5G. Each submission would be allocated 1 V100 GPU and 8 vCPUs.
The submissions with highest scores will be counted and shown in the leaderboard. The top 20 teams in Phase 1 will enter Phase 2.
Duration: 1 month
Start Date: 16 Nov 2021 00:00 (Anywhere on earth time)
Entry Deadline: 15 Dec 2021 23:59 (Anywhere on earth time)
Team submission limit: Three times a week (from Monday to Sunday)
The submission will be run on the full hidden test set which includes more videos with a longer running time limitation (i.e. the average processing and detection time for each video is around 9s) and an image size limitation to 5G. Each submission would be allocated 1 V100 GPU and 8 vCPUs.
The best submissions will be counted and shown on the leaderboard. The prize money will be given out based on the ranking in Phase 2.
Please note that only a successful submission with valid scores would be counted as one valid submission.
Each participant can only register one account and participate in one team. Each team can have at most 5 members. If a participant does not join a team, he/she shall be considered a team. Detailed submission guidelines can be seen in this repo.
AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the Singapore National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) thereby creating social and economic impacts, grow the local talent, build an AI ecosystem, and put Singapore on the world map.
The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore’s AI efforts.
